The cafe is located most conveniently with two entrances – one from Emerald Hill Residence and one from Napier Street in South Melbourne. This makes it a perfect choice for residents, friends, family, staff, and visitors. In fact, anyone who wants a good cup of coffee or a good excuse to sit in the sun and watch the passing parade along the tree-lined street.
The South Melbourne Lions Club made a generous donation here, and our gratitude is handsomely reflected in the glorious lion head sculpture on the external wall. There is much else to delight the eye on the shelves. A nostalgic collection of aluminum kitchenalia, a charming selection of watercolours from residents and two handsome abstract impression artworks from Les Peach make for a most interesting backdrop.
Breakfast, lunches and snacks are all available and are made fresh on the premises.
